Welcome to Speaking Your Best Online Your Guide to Perfect American English!
Speaking Your Best Online is a four-month self-study online accent reduction program that will quickly help you improve your American English accent and speaking skills through written practice materials, video clips, and audio practice.
Your program will be customized for you based on results of a short speech assessment that you will complete before you begin your program. From there, you will receive practice guidelines outlining the sounds and speaking skills you should focus on improving. Soon you will be speaking like an American!
Once you get started with your program, you will be able to access the entire SYB Online site to learn how to pronounce sounds using video clips and audio files, important speaking techniques and strategies, and stressing and intonation exercises at our members login area whenever you like, as often as you like for four months!
Your program also includes three free private video conferencing or telephone classes (30 minutes each) with Cheryl Posey! She will review activities with you, help you pronounce difficult sounds, and answer any questions you have to help keep you on track with your practice and ensure your progress. Set up your video conferencing days and times as you need assistance.
To check your progress, make a recording of your speech and send it to Speaking Your Best via email as often as you like. Cheryl will respond via email and/or audio clips with feedback and suggestions on how to further improve your speech.
